This piece is inspired by the Gran Arribada (Great Arrival), an annually recurring natural phenomena during which hundreds of thousands of sea turtles arrive together to nest on a long stretch of beach on the coastline of southern Mexico.

The installation was created for The National Mexican Turtle Center, located in the seaside town of Mazunte in the state of Oaxaca. It has been realized in collaboration with workshop: Alfarería El Quetzal  located in San Pedro Pochutla, Oaxaca, Mexico.
